The Big Sister

I was so excited to tell Olivia. She had, afterall, been asking God to "put a baby in mommy's tummy" for some time now. I decided to hold back on the excitement and wait til we had told the family before telling her because I didn't want her spilling the beans first.

The day came (May 28th) that I got to tell her. We were sitting on the couch and I wasn't feeling well and she was pretty concerned. So I said "remember how you asked God to put a baby in mommy's tummy?" She said "Yes" and I said "Well, there's a baby in my tummy now!" She goes "THERE ISSSSS!?!?!?!?" and then immediatly leans down, kisses my belly and says "I love you baby!"  It made the pregnant lady cry.

She is going to be such a great big sister. She doesn't do much talking to the belly or anything at this point. I think she forgets it's in there. Once it get bigger and she can feel movement and things like that it'll get even more exciting for her. She does say "that baby is making mommy sick!" when I'm puking in the bathroom. lol

I can't wait til we become a family of 4!

The basics

So, it's true. We're going to have baby #2!

I hadn't had a period since March and took a test on Mother's day, thinking I was going to get a nice little present, but the test was negative. That next week I had what I considered a period. 4 days of light bleeding. The next week I start feeling nauseas. Then my boobs started hurting. I had been working out pretty hard and wasn't losing any weight. Instead I had gained 3 pounds. I decided to go buy a test to just make sure. As soon as I pee'd on the stick, there was 2 lines! I shook for about 45 minutes. lol. I tested on May 26th which was my mom's birthday! =)  She was pretty happy with her birthday present!

I haven't had my first appointment yet but according to the internet calculator and my last period, I am due December 30th. I am 10 weeks right now, I'll be 11 weeks on thursday!

My sweet friend, Jenna, is a couple weeks ahead of me and started doing a blog to keep up and I decided to blog along with her! =)

Renewal (of the blog)

So, I'm back. I, once again, forgot I even had this! I really wanna get back into it. It's so cool to journal our life as a family of 3 and look back on it. I love reading back and seeing how God has worked!

Things with us have been good. We moved into our own place. As in, we no longer live with our inlaws! A-mazing! It's a small townhome, but it is just that..HOME.

Olivia is doing great. She is going to be 3 a week from sunday. I can't believe it. She's doing so great with her health. We are so thankful for that. She's fully potty trained. She's got quite a spirit and she's pretty intense sometimes, but she keeps life interesting for us! We learn from her just as much as she learns from us.

As for Brian and I, we hit some bumps in our road of marriage recently. By 'bumps', I mean potholes. Some deep one's. But once again, God has shown his faithfulness and our marriage is better than it's been in a long time. In fact, we feel like a couple of newlyweds and we are both just really enjoying life right now.

I guess the biggest news right now would be that I went off my birthcontrol! We are both just putting our faith in God and trusting that it will happen in His time, and when it does, he will take care and provide for us. Regardless of our debt. So many times we let our dumb brains with earthly opinions get in the way of what God is capable of doing in our lives.

I CAN'T wait to see how God works in the lives or our little family of 3!

Felecia and I

16 months old!

I came in to find her standing on the coffee table eating goldfish. She thought it was funny.

Sorry it's been so long since I updated! My laptop took a crap and I lost this link and couldn't remember it. haha.
Things are good. Olivia's singulair is working really well with her. She still coughs and wheezes a little bit sometimes when she gets active, but it is way better than before. We have definitly noticed a difference with it.
She had her appointment for her EEG results and everything came back normal. He said her brain looks great and she looks like a normal little girl. He said the last seizure she had probably was a febrile seizure, but her temp had probably just gone down before the people in the ER took it. I was SO relieved. I am praying that we don't even have any more febrile seizures either. She actually had a fever from teething recently, and didn't have one. So that was great news!!

Other than that, we are just kickin along through the summer. Things have been busy. I really miss my mom and dad and wish I had a way to go visit. Gas prices suck!!! I'm sure everyone already knew that though. hehe!
I'll try to keep up with this more now! Oh, and, I chopped all my hair off!
Love you guys!

Asthma

Right before Olivia started battling her seizures, we were told that she may possibly have asthma. Yesterday I took her into the doctor for the second time in 5 days because of a chronic cough she has had for over 2 weeks now. She was actually having an asthma attack, wheezing and all, in the doctors office. She put her on the nebulizar and then decided to put her on a medication. She is on Singulair. It's a chewable pill that she takes once every evening. We also have a nebulizar machine and we have to give it to her twice a day when she's in episodes like this. Hopefully this singulair will help. She will have to go on an inhaled steroid if this doesn't help. I'd rather she didn't have to do that. At least not at this age. So we're just praying that this works. It's supposed to take a week to two weeks before it works. It seems to be worse at night. She's had an attack the past 3 nights. Last night at 1 in the morning and it was pretty bad. I've never really heard her wheezing and I actually could last night.

Other than that, she's doing good. She will be 15 months old on Saturday! People tell you the time goes by fast...but you really have no clue! She's running all over and climbing on everything. She is becoming quite the talker. Her words are: mama, dada, (dad, daddy) baby, duck, doggie, hi, bye, oh, balloon (aka: baboon- lol), pretty, up, & yes. I'm so suprised this girl doesn't say 'no' yet. haha.

Hope you guys are doing well! Stace-How is grama doing?
